Dovebox System
The Dovebox System is a customizable modular shelving solution designed to expand and transform as your requirements evolve. The basic unit as presented is a 15 inch cube, perfect for vinyl storage. Additions include drawers for CDs and 45s as well as utility trays. Check out the options below but don't let them limit your imagination! These boxes are made to order and sizes can be tailored to your needs. Custom requests are welcome and encouraged.
Modular
The 15 inch cube provides the basis for an array of options intended to conform to your unique requirements. The boxes are stackable and stout, made of 3/4 inch knotty pine (also available in walnut) and utilizing traditional dovetail joinery. The modular nature of this system is perfect for an evolving lifestyle, always ready to be deconstructed and remade to fit your shifting requirements. Dovetails
Dovetails are an ancient technique used for joining wood together. Once hidden away within the structure of boxes, they have evolved become a mark of quality and craftsmanship. Most importantly, they create a very strong joint without the use of screws or nails, able to withstand the rigors of time and use.
Colors and Finishes
Available unfinished or in a wide variety of colors and finishes suited for your personal tastes. Left unfinished, pine darkens over time and develops a natural patina. Also available in Osmo (a German nontoxic hard wax oil) as well as a selection of stains and water based polyurethane finishes to give the surface some added protection.
